Michael Alexander just finished his second year at the Eastman School of Music
in Rochester, New York. After his brief hiatus from Strikepoint, Michael returns
this summer as a substitute for Cynthia Coffin, who is spending the summer
enjoying her new son, Sam!
Michael has been playing handbells for 12 years, joining Strikepoint for seven
of them. Outside of ringing, Michael plays the French horn professionally in
both small and large ensembles. He is a member of the Meliora and Superior Brass
Quintets, as well as a member of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and Lake
Superior Chamber Orchestra.
Outside of music Michael is an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, Rochester Red
Wings and the Duluth Huskies. He also enjoys looking back on a sepia tinged
childhood filled with (ironically) handbells and the fantastical ravings of his Current Favorite Books: LIGHT IN AUGUST by Billy Faulkner
Favorite TV Shows: Arrested Development
