Double Chocolate Bars
1 package (16 oz.) Oreo cookies,
crushed
3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
2 c. (12 oz.) mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Combine cookie crumbs and butter; pat onto the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2
baking pan. Combine sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of chocolate chips in
a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 1 minute or until chips
are melted; stir until smooth. (I've tried this recipe using chocolate-flavored
sweetened condensed milk. You could obviously skip this step then, but I didn't
think it ended up tasting quite as good.)
Pour sweetened condensed milk over crust. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until chips are melted. Cool.
Yield: about 4 dozen.
