Haupia

(Pronounced how-pee -ah or rhymes with "now, Leah.")
This coconut pudding is a staple for any Hawaiian luau.

 
2 cups coconut milk
1 cup whole milk
6 tbsp. Sugar
5 tbsp. Cornstarch

Pour 1 cup of coconut milk into saucepan. Combine sugar and cornstarch stirring into coconut milk. Heat over low heat stirring consistently until thickened. Add remainder of coconut milk and whole milk and continue to heat until thickened. Pour into 8 inch square pan and chill until firm.
