5 or 6 cups fruit (I use fresh peaches that I have frozen - see note
below)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Put fruit in 6 x 10 inch pan. Mix other ingredients except oil to form
crumbles. Sprinkle over fruit. Drizzle top with oil and bake until
brown and crisp - usually about 45 minutes.
Note: When freezing or preparing peaches for cobbler, I mix 1 Tbs.
fruit fresh and 1 cup sugar per quart of peaches and let stand for a
few minutes until juice forms.
